Are the budget Android phones still compatible with the Spotify app?

Are the budget Android phones still compatible with the Spotify app?

Hi,

Do any of the budget Android phones run the Spotify app?

Phones I'm thinking of are:

Motorola Defy mini - £79

Samsung Galaxy Y - £87

Samsung Galaxy mini - £99

LG Optimus L3 - £75

These could potentially be great dedicated music players with the spotify app...

If the screen resolution is OK (big enough to fit the UI) and they run Android 2.3 or above then you should be fine. In terms of screen size I think I've heard of issues with the HTC Wildfire (S) so check the resolution is better than whatever that uses

I can play and download playlists on my nexus phone but it doesn't seem to work on my motorola defy. Anyone know why and if there is a fix?

Where in the process does it fail and do you get any error messages? What android and spotify versions are you running on the Defy?
