My Question or Issue

Whenever I save a song or album to my library, Spotify automatically downloads them to my device. This has resulted in me reaching the maximum number of songs allowed downloaded very quickly. I would like to be able to save songs and albums to my library without downloading them, which I can't do currently. Any help would be appreciated!

Of course you can. Go to the "songs" view in your library and turn off the "download" button. You will need to redownload any albums/playlists you want available offline by turning on the "download" switch on the relevant playlist/album/artis page.

Hm, that option isn't there when I view my songs, but now that you mention it, I do remember selecting it in the past... Is there any reason it would disappear?

That's odd. Try force stopping spotify then restart your phone and see if the switch comes back. If it doesn't, reinstalling might help.
