Bluetooth Headset Kinivo BTH240 can't skip/play/pause tracks on Android

Hi everyone I'm trying to use fully functional my bluetooth headset Kinivo BTH240. Volume responds, but i can't pause/play either skip tracks. I'm running version 5.1.0.849 on Android 4.4.4, my cellphone is a Huawey Y550, if anyone has any idea i would apreciate it.

I seem to recall another Huawei Y550 user had similar issues not so long ago. I wonder if the phone software/hardware isn't compatible.

Do other music apps work OK?

The main music app that comes with the cellphone yes, it works everything,
it's spotify, i will try upgrading the android version

Also, when i press play button in my headset it plays the default music app, any way to disable this?

Works in Google Play, it's spotify, so if this is not solved i will change to GP
