Every time I play Spotify music through the bluetooth connection in my Ford it stutters and cuts out, the audio speed up and slows down randomly. It is impossible to listen to, yet if I play music I downloaded to the phone directly it plays fine. It must be a problem related to the app, as this happens to another friend with a similar setup with a windows phone. I have an Samsung GS3. HELP Please!
wait... you can get your device to play through ford sync's bluetooth connection?
It also happens with the Google Play Music app as well so it's not just a Spotify issue. So far I have not found any answers. it doesn't always happen, but often it does. Driving a new Fusion with myFord Touch.
I have a Focus mk3 in combination with the HTC One and spotify streams perfectly via bluetooth to the standard built-in radio. Probably the same Sync system you are referring too.
Mine is a 2013 Fusion Titanium with myFord Touch combined with a Galaxy S4. I'd say 85% of the time it works perfectly. Then all of a sudden it'll speed up, stutter, slow down, speed up, etc... I signed up for the Google service thinking it was Spotify and after a few days it happen with that too. Spotify's audio quality sounds better by the way.
I tried my wife's Galaxy S3 and had the same results. Both worked perfectly in my previous car which was a Toyota Venza and in her current 2012 Honda Pilot. Very frustrating when it happens. Since the last update, what I've read is that it doesn't have anything to do with the phone. The CPU used in the MyFord Touch gets overloaded when it goes to update your address book and you have a large number of contacts. Someone said they deleted their address book from the car, then made it sync only favorites and not all their Facebook contacts and that fixed the problem. I might give that a try.
Wow, that's a cool car. Too bad we don't have that model in the Netherlands 😛
having the same stuttering problem in a 2016 Ford Mondeo (Fusion), hopefully Rosey´s solution works!
