[Bug?] Spotify resets/loses the last played song in a playlist

If I'm halfway through a playlist and I stop listening for a few hours, the next time I open the app, for some reason it resets the player and removes any information about the current position in the playlist/queue. What's interesting is that when I open the app I can actually see the player with the name of the current/last song for about a second, after which it is removed/reset and all info about it is lost.

 

At first I thought that syncing with the desktop app might be causing the reset, but this happens even in offline mode on my phone, and without having used the desktop app at all.

In this case, we recommend to reinstall the app. Here's how. Also, can you try a different connection?
