Bug: downloaded podcasts aren't available in Airplane Mode

My Question or Issue

On Wednesday I downloaded several podcasts in preparation for a long flight. (Airplane Mode the whole time, no Wi-Fi.) I was able to access the podcasts just fine on Wednesday. But next Monday in a similar situation, I was not able to access the podcasts. I saw a "no internet connection" banner and the app seemed to think my only downloads were a couple of music playlists I had downloaded much earlier. After deplaning and getting Wi-Fi, the episodes showed up again as already downloaded.

So the bug is, the app should have showed me the downloaded content while I was in Airplane Mode, but it didn't.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

Can you perform a clean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's  no old cache files causing this.

If that doesn't do the trick and you have an SD card we suggest that you uninstall the app > turn off your phone > take out your SD card > turn on the phone again (without the SD card) > reinstall the app since the card can be corrupted.
