Hey folks,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
It's currently not possible to see the Date added field on mobile phones and it's also not possible to load the desktop version of the web player in your mobile browser. We do appreciate your feedback however and we've made sure to forward it to the relevant team at Spotify.
Cheers,
i can't recall ever being able to see the date added to a playlist on mobile, only ever on desktop 😞 i've not ever tried it but you could try requesting the desktop site of spotify on whatever browser you use on your phone?
Thanks for the suggestion. I attempted this but the page wouldn't load. It kept rapidly switching back and forth between two URLs without ever fully loading either page.

I think this would be a good idea. Especially when it comes to the Spotify “On Repeat” playlist. Since this playlist usually updates every couple days, I can get a general idea of when I was listening to certain songs the most based on the date the songs were added. Unfortunately, I can’t do this on mobile, so I have to remember to check whenever I happen to have it loaded on the desktop version.
Will this feature ever be possible? There should also be a feature where if you’re listening to a song that’s in your like playlist, you can have the it take you to the part of the playlist that the song is in.
Its been a year since this and NOTHING**bleep**! How hard could it be to add a “date added” feature if its already on desktop??
Hey MihailY
Been a member of Spotify since 2017 and never went back to anything else. As a great lover of music and (key) playlists, I feel as though, having the option of the ‘date added field’ on our iPads/iPhones and such would be of every Spotify users
DREAM. Trust me. I really feel like you could pitch this to the right relevant team to look into it. I believe adding this feature would very a great update that many users will appreciate. You’re welcome, I hope.
I agree with the above comments. It’s a simple thing the “date added”. I understand things change on apps and update, but I don’t see why this feature is not accessible. Even if it is something you adjust yourself on Settings.
Music and reading go hand in hand and I relied on “date added” to go back and listen again. Please listen to what we are request. Hopefully see it in the next update. Thank you.
It’s been quite some time since the original post, and it’s clear from the replies that a lot of users are still hoping for the ability to view the 'Date Added' field on mobile devices. While it’s great that feedback was forwarded to the team, there's been no further update or indication of progress. Could the Spotify team provide an update on whether this feature is being considered or worked on? This would help us feel heard and keep us in the loop, especially since it’s a feature available on the desktop version. Many of us rely on this feature to better manage our playlists, so any additional insight or ETA would be much appreciated. Thanks!
