Can someone tell me why the artist page has been totally butchered?

Just got the new update (don't even know how, I didn't install anything through the play store), and to put it simply I'm disgusted. Artist pages have lost all functionality to make room for what, a slightly bigger image at the top of the page? Relases of all types are bunched together into a horizontal line, and it's not even chronologically organised. For artists with large discographies, certain releases are now impossible to see on the artist page. There's a "see more" button, but guess what, it doesn't work. Exact same problems apply to the "appears on" section. And another irritation - you can now only queue individual songs, not albums/singles/playlists. Who approved this? What purpose does it serve? Who likes it? I suppose I'll just have to install an older APK, because this just ruins the platform.

At Spotify, possible improvements and new features are often being tested. This means you might see something on the app your friend doesn't, or get a brand new feature for only a temporary period.

Things tested could include the next generation of security protection, or new ways to listen. It's also a way for Spotify to introduce new features, and fine-tune the app to be compatible with specific devices.

OK, instead of generic corporate drivel can I get a justification for the
specific features being implemented and some reassurance that they'll be
made optional if not totally removed?
