Can’t Add Playlists to Spotify Kids

Can’t Add Playlists to Spotify Kids

My kids’ MP3 players (running Android 7.0) worked great with Spotify Kids. All of sudden, when I go to the “For grown-ups” page, Spotify Kids locks up and I can’t access adding playlists. I updated to the latest version of Spotify Kids, but no change. Any suggestions?

Hi @Twowheelssoar,

Thanks for reaching out. When did this issue first occur, did it coincide with an update of the app or the OS itself? If you haven't, try reinstalling the app and see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't, please send us the exact version of the app you're using.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks, Joan. It did not coincide with any updates. I tried uninstalling the Spotify Kids app and installing the latest version, but no change. My 3 children all have the same device (Luoran M4B) and are experiencing the same issue.

Hey @Twowheelssoar,

Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.

In this case, we'd suggest you double-check if perhaps the devices have some firmware pending updates. If yes, try updating them to see if you notice any difference.

On another note, we'd suggest connecting the devices to a different internet connection from the one you've been using. If possible, you can create a hotspot with a cellphone and connect mp3 players to it to see if you notice changes. Just to confirm, is the app working otherwise? Is this just happening when you try to open the Grown ups setting?

Lastly, if possible, you can also send us a video recording of this behavior. You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.

Keep us in the loop!
