My Issue

I've had Spotify Premium for a few years now and over the past few months I've been unable to play my liked songs.

 

I have all of my liked songs because at work I will just shuffle all of it. However, if I shuffle all of my music, it will only play a select few songs. No matter how many times I delete my downloads, redownload them, turn my phone on and off, it won't shuffle my music.

 

If I click on a song in my library, it refuses to play it, unless I shuffle my music and then add it to the queue. It's as if it's not actually downloaded, when it is. It's so hard to play music, especially when I'm paying for premium.

Just to confirm, does this only occur with downloaded content? When you try to shuffle your Liked Songs, do you mean that the exact order is already familiar to you, or that some songs are instantly skipped and only a handful play successfully?

 

If you haven't already, I'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app: this will rule out any potential issues with corrupted cache and ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify available. It's also worth checking if everything works well when switching to another Wi-Fi network / using mobile data.
