Thanks for posting this thread!

 

To get a better understanding of the situation, would you mind sharing some more details with us, such as if you're seeing any error messages for example? If you've not tried any troubleshooting steps you can start with logging out > logging back in twice in a row to resync your account and device.

 

It's also worth mentioning that there are some guidelines when you're uploading images to Spotify and I recommend reading this info.

 

You should be able to change your profile picture on different devices and for the steps, you can take a look at this article, but if it's not working, let us know what happens so we can see how to proceed next.

I have this problem too. Tipping on my pfp doesn't help and there is no edit button

Thanks for joining the thread!

Would you mind sending us a screenshot of what you're seeing on your end?
As explained in the link, shared by @Ivelina, tapping the profile picture will open your profile. 
From there you need to select 'Edit Profile' or tap the picture one more time.

Thanks for the video - it gives us a better understanding of what's going on! 

Just to make sure we cover all bases, could you try clearing stored cache from the device? Another option is to try a clean reinstall of the app. This will clear cache too, as well as ensure that you're running the latest version.

Shouldn't that do the trick, could you try updating your picture using a different device, if possible?

I have already done both before I even wrote here. Also must have been some update of yours that broke that function because my bf has his pfp different but can't change it either if he wanted too.

So that our teams can look into this behavior further, would you mind letting us know the following details:

 

  • The make and model of your device.
  • Current OS version.
  • Your current Spotify version.

If possible, it would be great if your boyfriend could leave a comment in this thread as well, to let us know his device info & any troubleshooting steps tried.
