Can't control volume for bluetooth devices

Hello,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 with a Spotify Premium account and until yesterday I was able to connect to bluetooth devices and adjust the volume of the music via the volume buttons on the phone. Overnight, it looks like Spotify updated and now I am no longer able to control the volume when connected to a speaker.  It remains the same unless I turn it all the way down, then there is no sound. Is there a solution to this issue?
