Even if I have my mobile connected trough wi-fi, it still says offline mode. And no, I have not marked off for offline modus in the option. (had to forcely shut down spotify and relog to get back in "online mode")
This program is becoming worse and worse.
1st you are forced to log in trough facebook. Then you get facebook comersals, and then you get logged off if you shut down the app.
And now this.
Why do I even pay for this amature program?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I agree. I have not been able to sync to my mobile for two weeks.:
I have connected over Wi-fi and over my Virgin Mobile Lg Optimus V Cellular network.
I have restarted my phone.
Checked to make sure the app was allowed to access the internet in the phone settings:
Uninstalled and re-installed the older app version
Uninstalled and re-installed the new app version
I am at a lost as to why the service is so crappy. As a paying member they still force me to connect to facebook and still force me to listen to ads. This is the **bleep**tiest service ever. How hard is it for you to hire/contract a few senior network engineers to get this sorted out?
Can't even log in. I get spamed with
"Spotify Mobile consumes large amouints of data.
If you stream music over mobile networks, it's importent that you have
a flat rate (fixed price for data transfer) subscription. Please check
with your mobile operator if you're uncerten."
And every time I push "ok", the warning just pops up again.........
What have you done with this program?
This fixed my problem as well. The past two days I noticed that none of my streaming playlists were working. I logged out of Android, changed password on here and I was back in business.
Thanks so much! LOVE SPOTIFY!

Hi, thanks for the replay.
I have a samsung galaxy S2 with the latest updates.
EDIT:
Also it wont sync properly. I only manage to get 1/2 the songs I want. And when I push a grayed out song I get a "info" where there is no info in that window. I can only push "ok" but what am I pushing "ok" to?
EDIT 2:
And simetimes when I forcefully shut the program down, it wont start up when I push the app. The screen just turn black. This is the only program that i do have problems with.
I'm guessing the "new update" means ICS (Android 4.0) There is a newer version (beta) available of the Spotify App I reckon.
ICS not being supported by the normal app if I remember correctly.

ZtriDer - It sounds a little odd, but can you log out of your Android, change the password on our website, then log in with your username 'striderpcc' and this new password.
However, please make sure you've downloaded the version Neo-x mentions above.
CBas - We have just released a brand new, totally redeveloped Android preview app. Give it a try... https://www.spotify.com/download/previews/

edit: And the only way for me to log in without being spammed by that god damne warning and not being alowed to log in, is trough facebook.
Why did you guys implant that **bleep**?
Im using the verson you get from android marked.

I've had the same problem, I tried changing my password which works on my laptop but my phone keeps my old password? Constantly says I'm offline (not in offline mode) and won't sync my playlists or let me search for new songs.
I too am having the same issue. I tried downloading the "preview" version, I tried logging in to the website, changing my password, then logging out. Doesn't matter. No matter what I try I cannot get my playlists to sync offline on my Android tablet. Without this functionality, I will be cancelling my service. I need this offline mode to sync my playlists so I can play my music for yoga classes that I teach. I heard someone say there's another subscription music service out there: Rahpsody? I think I'm trying that. Maybe they have apps that actually work. I also have significant problems with my phone's app, but at least that will sync my music and correclty go into Offline and Online mode.
I had the same syncing issues with the normal, play store version of the app. When I first downloaded the preview version and installed it, I logged in using my email address. It seemed to log me in fine, and said I had a 48 hour trial, but would still not sync my playlists.
Then, I logged out and logged back in with my username instead of email address, and saw the names of my playlists, but no songs in them. There is an option to download playlists, but choosing that does nothing, other than putting a progress bar that goes nowhere in my notification tray. I assume I cannot download playlists, since I'm not a premium subscriber, but I refuse to upgrade if I can't be sure it will work.
My phone is a Galaxy Nexus.
