Can't play any music even though I have premium

I have been switching between spotify premium and free for about a year as I have needed it and can afford it. But now it works fine on my computer and tablet but whenever I try to play anything on my phone all that happens is a text pop up comes up saying "Get premium now to play ad-free music everywhere." even if I download the songs any try to play them offline.
