Can't see album covers when sharing a link

I have an Android phone and when I try to share a link via share button and click x(Twitter) it just show link of the song but before this error it was showing an album cover next to the link. I also tried it on my computer desktop have the same problem. I deleted Spotify app and installed it again but the problem continues. I know some of my friends also have the same issue.

Could you try pasting the link in another app like a messenger or another social network post? This will help isolate the issue in case it is only happening with one app (like X or Twitter here).

Also, try to turn off any VPN/DNS service that you might have active.

Hey, I have the same issue as OP. When I paste the link to WhatsApp the album cover shows, but when I paste the link to any of my Twitter accounts it doesn't show.

Hey, @Kenshyn,

Does this behavior occur in the X app? Could you check if using a browser makes a difference? It's also worth trying with another device, if available.

Something else that comes to mind is checking if the error occurs with other types of content: try sharing an artist, album, episode or a playlist instead to see if you'd get the link to unfurl.

Sometimes it works Sometimes it doesn't.  Right now for example it doesn't work.

No matter what song I choose , the album cover isn't being displayed. I tried pasting the link in the Browser on my phone and I tried pasting it on the Browser on my Laptop,  both tries ended in failure. I tried to access the "share" functionality in the spotify app in different ways: I selected the album and then from there I selected the song and shared it on x from there.  I tried playing the song and then sharing it from that view. Both options don't work.

When I shard an artist or an album it also doesn't work but before I ran into this issue this year I never shared artists or albums so I don't even know if there are supposed to be images popping up when sharing those. I've tried deleting and reinstalling x and that did not work either.

When I simply choose to copy the link and paste it into x it also doesn't work .

When i press share and select a different background color and then share it on x it also doesn't work.

This happens when I share from Spotify Desktop (Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.52.442.g01893f92) to X but works on Whatsapp on Desktop

Having the same exact problem, Spotify needs to look into this. Other social media apps are fine but X it won’t load.

Would you mind confirming if you've already tried sharing an artist, album, episode or a playlist instead as @Yordan mentioned above? Do you get the same behavior?
