Finally got Android Auto in my car, but I can only see like half of my playlists?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I don't think being parked will help. I have a parking bypass installed so I have full functionality while I'm driving or not and there was always still that scrolling limit.
It will now. Google just updated android auto to allow full scrolling while in park. It sounds like individual apps have to code something to enable it for their apps, which sucks. I imagine android auto is very very low on most app devs radar to make changes/updates so it may be a while for these changes to take place on all our apps . This is why I'm a little annoyed that the change Google made in Android Auto didn't automatically apply to all apps.
I honestly hope Google sends the devs a nasty gram to update their app to be compliant with the new interface or get taken off the "approved" list. That'll kick them into gear to update!
Although from what I've read it does work with Spotify (according to another user). I will test it myself later. Still - it's a step in the right direction!
I too can confirm that it definitely works!!! AMAZING!!! I generally don't go scanning through all my music while driving anyway, I pick before setting off, so this is perfect for me. FINALLY - Thank you Google!
Why isn't it possible to start a specified playlist via voice control? If I'm driving on a highway, I don't want to park just to start another playlist...
Is it possible to implement this by Soptify?
Good idea! Bug them!
I don't think it's to do with Android Auto, it will be the "Google App" which contains the voice control. You should be able to command Spotify playlists with just Google Now (regardless of AA) but you can't. It bugs me so!
10€ for month and I still have the impossibility to select a playlist over the 6th... ok
10€ for month and I can't choose via voice a playlist or a song... ok
10€ for month and still spotify freezes my Android Auto... ok
Spotify... you must UPDATE, update and again update the android app!!! I won't to change my music app!!!
Same here parking mode not working with Spotify!
And please add search!
Does everyone still have the issue where they can only see 20 songs from any given playlist, no ability to scroll past that? I can see all my playlists but not all songs in playlist
No, I am talking about having a list of 20+ songs in a playlist and that you can't see more than 20 at anytime one time, regardless if you are parked or not parked.
Playlists performs as expected.
Thanks
This post is what you end up from google when trying to get an answer for why only some parts of the playlist are shown and it is set to solved. And nothing is solved, it's according to design and it really disappointing. This means that we basically only can shuffle our playlist but then we might as well just listen to the radio. This need to be fixed asap!!
