Can't set quality of songs

My Question or Issue

 If i set the music quality to higher options (for both download and streaming), when i close the app and i open It again, the settings return to automatic for streaming and normal for download.

What Can i do? I want the maximum quality.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstallation of the app. Just follow the steps here.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

thank you for the advices, after a clean reinstallation the issue was not solved so I have reset the phone and now the settings seems to stay saved if reopen the app.

Maybe there was some setting on the phone which was the cause.

I have noted that when i enter on equalizer and i exit the quality preferences are resetted, is it normal?

Maybe it was since it is difficult to point at the real problem in such cases. 

However, what you are saying now seems not normal. Your settings shouldn't be reset.

Did you change any option on EQ that may have effected the queality?
