Can't turn Waze off

I don't use waze, before today I had no idea of what it was, and I certainly don't have it installed on my phone. But loading up Spotify on my phone, connected to my electric drumkit via bluetooth, its automatically decided that I'm driving a car and autoplaying music. And I can't turn this feature off. Its so bad that loading spotify on my PC, will cause my phone to start playing if its connected to a bluetooth device.

Who in the **bleep** decided this was a good idea? I get that phones and driving a car don't mix, but not every blutooth device is a car, I use aux input for my car as I don't even have bluetooth in my car. Trying to force this upon everybody breaks the app for the nebulous goal of safety.

I've tried a fresh reinstall, still happens. Straight from the appstore, 10 minutes ago. As of now that must be the most up-to-date version, 8.5.24.762. Problem still occurs. I can't access anything to do with waze in the settings, and the app isn't on my phone at all, and if Spotify has installed it automatically, then its hidden on my phone, inaccessible to me to modify the settings. Nothing comes up under the "social" tab of settings, and the car mode is off and has always been off.
