My Question or Issue

I can log in to Spotify on my PC but not on the new Spotify music player I purchased expressly to listen to Spotify on. It says my email and password are incorrect. Why??? This device probably isn't actually an Android device--it's this: https://www.amazon.com/innioasis-Bluetooth-Spotify-Pandora-Streaming/dp/B0C615PMPR but I didn't know where else to post this question. Incidentally, I've logged into Spotify on an MP3 player before with no issues. This time, nope,

Hi there @frs1,

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you use your new device.

As you can see here, an Android device needs to have at least Android 7.0 in order to support Spotify. It would seem that the player in question uses some sort of modified Android similar to the Kindle and I did some research but couldn't find what version it equates to. It also doesn't appear to have an app store, so reinstalling doesn't seem like an option.

Try resetting your password and then trying to log in again. It's often the case that alternate login methods like Facebook or Google don't work on such devices, so we recommend against trying to use those. As a test, you can try logging in with a different account too in order to make sure that the login process works. You can use the account of someone you know or make a new one yourself. Also consider trying this on different networks. You can make a hotspot from your phone if necessary.

Let us know how it goes.
