Cannot login to Spotify on my Android Phone but laptop is fine

My Question or Issue

I have been using spotify now for a while without issue. I started to have problems listening to Spotify in my Car 2 days ago. It would only play music whilst in OFFLine mode. Tried to play in ONLine mode, and a green circle just went round and round, so I could only play my downloaded stuff.

So I decided to log out and back in again. But the mobile app will not accept my username and password. So I logged into my account on my laptop, changed the password. Still no good. Tried to login with email, no good. So I cannot listen to anything on the mobile app as I cannot even log in.

Please help. My music in the car is my lifeline.

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble logging into your mobile app. 

As a first step, do a full clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your phone, following this guide. This way you'll remove all app files and install the latest app version. 

Make sure that battery saver is switched off from your phone's app settings for Spotify, before launching the app after the reinstall.
