My Question or Issue

When I am using car mode, I select the song I want to listen to then lock my phone. When I unlock the phone, without touching the screen at all (no possibility of accidentally pressing anything) Spotify will start playing a different song at the same timestamp without skipping a beat. I am able to consistently reproduce this. Upon further investigation, I believe I know what is happening. First, I exclusively sort my playlists newest to oldest. It appears that song 2  (the song that is automatically switched to) is in the same index position as song 1 if the playlist was sorted oldest to newest. e.g. If I play my newest song, go to car view, lock my phone, then unlock it when the song is 30 seconds in (time is irrelevant when reproducing the issue), my oldest song will start playing at 0:30 as if it had been playing the whole time.

Notable things:
- Only happens after manually selecting a song
- Only happens when actually in car mode (Album cover), not while viewing the playlist

- Does not occur if car mode is disabled

- When the playlist is sorted oldest to newest, it seems to try to do the same thing as there is a brief pause or skip in the song, but ultimately plays the same song so this is hard to confirm
