Car mode only in the car option issues

I am not sure if anyone else is having the same issue. But it is getting really annoying to have to constantly turn off car mode when I'm not in the car. I do love the car mode function but lately it's failing to recognize when I'm in the car and when I'm not. I have to constantly turn off car mode when I'm not in the car even though I've set switch to car mode to only when in the car.

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

Just to confirm, does the car mode turns itself on randomly, or when you connect your phone via Bluetooth to another device?

Can you let us know if that behavior persists after running a clean reinstall of the app by following these steps? This can be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

Same here. Car mode seemed to work fine a while ago, but no longer recognizes my 2016 Hyundai Sonata Fe bluetooth connection as a car. Annoying AF, especially since using the "always" setting for car mode doesn't allow me use Spotify Connect devices, so I have to change it again.

I've tried the cache, clean install, log out and log in, cleared my system cache, too. Same issue.

Could you let us know if using a different type of connection, like a cable, makes any difference?

On another note, we'd like to know if this happens with a different phone as well.
