Car stereo not getting updated for each song.

Car stereo not getting updated for each song.

Greetings,

 

In the past, the data (song and album) would be updated for each song change. Currently this only happens at the beginning of the album.

 

This changed after the last phone update.

 

Device: Samsung SM-G900A (Galaxy S5)

Android : 4.4.4

Car Stereo: Scion Pioneer AXCP014U (factory install)

Spotify Version: 2.5.0.942

 

Again, Spotify worked correctly and now it doesn't.

 

I did addtional testing. I loaded some MP3s onto my phone to test for car stereo updating.

 

I have two other applications that can play music; Google Play and something called Music. Google Play does the same as Spotify. Music (Samsung player?- not found with Application Manager) updates for every song. And, something I have never noticed with any other player is the track and time also updates.

A new update to the phone solved the problem of a car stereo not updating with song data.

 

The new version: 5.0

 

Everything else appears to be working correctly as well.

When you say this happened after the last phone update do you mean actual phone software update our the Spotify app update?

Yeah I meant phone update. Samsung rolled out an update.

 

I did clear and reinstall everything. Overall, that is annoying to have to do that since I have quite a few items I have selected for offline use.

 

New thing today, commercials are now playing on my premium account. Sheesh!
