Here i have the identical issue on my Android with bluetooth connection. Furthermore: Carmode when set for "allways" doesn't work only by manual intervention. Not happy at all and quit UNSAFE when used while driving.

Hey @Sarunas_Rad and @Remmie63,

Thanks for searching for the answer you need here!

Keep in mind that Spotify's integration with BMW Connected drive is being depreciated. As a result, it’ll no longer be possible to control Spotify via the onboard BMW system or they may be issues with its use. You can however still enjoy your favorite music by connecting to your car’s audio system via Bluetooth.

@Remmie63 you can exit car view at any time using the car symbol in the upper-right corner of the screen. If you want to reenable it again without connecting to your car go to car mode settings, choose any of the other options and then switch again to Always. If that doesn't work properly for you, we recommend that you perform a clean reinstall using these steps. It's possible some of the app files have gotten corrupted and this is an easy fix.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.

Hi, thnx for your comment!
I don't drive a BMW.
I did the reinstall on my Android. But there is nothing different. Opening
the app gives the standard overview and not the car mode.
Because it is linked to Spotify on my laptop could that be an issue?

Thnx

Hey there @Remmie63,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Note that with the smartphone in car mode, you can control playback via Connect from the laptop, but not the other way around.

We'd like to investigate your issue further. To that end, could you send us screenshots of how the app is displayed at your end and of the Car mode section in your Setting menu? Just make sure to hide any private/ sensitive info.

We'll be keeping an eye out for your reply.

Hey @Remmie63,

Thanks for getting back to us 🙂

Can you send us a screenshot of the in-app settings? What's the name of the car shown on the phone when you connect to Bluetooth? We'll investigate this further.

Keep us posted! If you have questions, you know where to find us.

Hi, I don't connect to the car but directly to the audio system and that is, in this case Velex DAB. In app setting in attachment.

Hey there @Remmie63,

Thanks for your reply and the screenshot.

To get to the bottom of this we're going to need some more info. Do you connect to the audio system via Bluetooth or via cable? If both are an option is there a difference? If you could test both options with the Switch to car mode setting set to Always and to Only in a car and share the results, we'd appreciate it.

It would help us a lot if  you could also log in with a friend or family members account on your Android device and let us know how the app behaves then.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply! Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi, there is only a bluetooth option. No cable.
Will test the rest the coming week!
