Constant crashing and offline songs disappearing

Is the latest spotify release totally b0rked or something?  For the last few days I can't go more than about 5mins without spotify stopping/crashing out and needing to be restarted, not only that but my offline downloads keep vanishing off the device, 3 times in the last 3 days so far, thankfully my work has fast internet so it doesn't take too long to repopulate but the app crashing has made it basically useless to me.  I've read a few similar threads and as such done a clean reinstall and also ensured I've only got spotify install on my home pc and phone but still no luck!

Is this an acknowledged problem that's being fixed or do I have to cancel my sub and move to google music?  I'd rather not but right now I'm basically tune-less and that I can't live with!  I can probably send some adb logs if that'll help?

Oh, also I have only around 3gig worth local and it's a nexus 5 on 5.0.1 so no SD card or anything!
