Crackling/static noice when in portrait mode on Nexus 9 tablet (possible bug)

Hi,

Been using spotify on my android phone for years with no problem. Installed it on my nexus 9 (android 6.0.1) and got a really wierd bug. When im in portrait mode looking at a playlist all songs have a static / crackling sound every few seconds. Turning the device to landscape or opening the album cover art screen fixes this (but then i cant browse songs while listning...). The problem is both with earphones and speakers. This doesnt happen in any other app. Im a premium user.

So far i have tried:

- Clearing cache

- Reinstalling the app

- Restarting my device

- Tried different settings in the equalizer

This is super annoying and almost makes the app unusable. Any ideas?

Same exact problemi bere. It makes Spotify unusable!

I have exactly the same problem as the OP, but on my Nexus 6. Crackles and popping randomly during cached or streaming, regardless of settings. It's like the hiccups, I think it's fixed because it stops for a minute, then it's back as bad as ever.
