Recently updated the Spotify app on my Galaxy Note 2 and now when playing any music I hear a gap during the crossfade. Sometimes a loud static sound can be heard as it switches tracks. VERY annoying and makes for a horrible seamless experience.

I have the same irritating problem on my HTC Desire S... It appered on the latest update! (like 8 days ago)
Not so much static, but I do hear a pause when it fades into the next song. I have mine at 12 seconds.
I only have this problem on Android (Samsung Galaxy S3). This doesn't happen on either PC or iPad.
I'm having the same problem with my Galaxy S3 ... there's an annoying glitch where there's a gap just as the new track is fading in. I'm in stream mode, and I have crossfade on, and it's happening regardless of the number of seconds ... I've tried 4 or 5 seconds, all the way up to 12.

Meredith is looking into this.
I'm also having the same problem reported by DCJoker. Device:MotoG; OS: 4.3. Spotify : 0.7.3.6.357.
It's a really disturbing issue, mostly felt when using headphones.
Having the same problem here aswell. I got a Sony Xperia Z1, started to hear a irritating gap while crossfading tracks at 12s after the new update.
All my friends that also have android got tha same Issue. Hoping you guys will get this fixed asap 😃
I've had the Android version of the app updated several times and yet the issue still hasn't been fixed. I've done pretty much everything from reinstalling the app to lowering the stream quality, but nothing has changed.
