My Question or Issue
Hey there folks,
Thanks for letting us know about this.
Since Xiaomi's Dark Mode is designed to affect the color palette only on supported apps it is expected that it won't always function properly. So we recommend keeping both your system and the Spotify app up to date, as this might get resolved with one of the next updates. For the time being, using the Light mode sounds like the only option, if a clean reinstall of the app has not changed anything.
You can also experiment with other Themes from Xiaomi's large library and see if that makes any difference, since those change the way some buttons, widgets and apps appear.
Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have more questions.
Hey @user-removed, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
Could you try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps? If this doesn't help, when you change your systemwide mode to Light mode, does the same issue occur?
Let me know how this goes.
Same problem, almost same phone (Xiaomi mi 9t / k 20, miui 12, android 10). Light mode looks fine. Dark mode - play button completely white, progress bar barely visible , checkboxes as well. Already tried to reinstall, it didn't help.

Thank you for response! There is a thing about MIUI (at least 12), you can actually toggle apps that will use Dark Mode manually. Some apps applies system settings and use Dark Mode by default. But you can change it for specific apps: settings > display > dark mode > individual apps > unchek box > done! So you don't have to use Light Mode and you can use Spotify without any problems!
Problem solved by above suggestion.
Mi Note 10 (MIUI 12)
It doesn't have anything to do with Spotify developers, but as this is a miui issue. Developers can't develop specifically for each version of SO layer. Blame it on xiaomi

Today I decided to disable an option on two Xiaomi cell phones called "Miui Optimization" once I disabled this option, Spotify had bugs, icons disappear from the bottom bar, playback, among others, reactivate the option and everything worked normally but I don't understand why it generates that error / bug, I think it is a mistake on Spotify's part, my main cell phone is the Xiaomi Redmi 9T
