Data usage while in offline mode

Hi there,

I was playing some songs on my phone while travelling the other day. Back home I saw a notification from my data usage app that Spotify had used 150 mb on my way home. Although I was sure that my Spotify app was in offline mode I double-checked: it was in offline mode... 

The same thing happened today. Again Spotify used 3G in offline mode. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Anyone with a solution to solve this?
