Device de-synchronised because of 3 devices limit

Device de-synchronised because of 3 devices limit

Hello,

I several times experiences having all my playlist de-synchronise from my smartphone at the start of my trip back home. The last time I saw a message about synchronising on more than 3 devices.

I am aware that one premium subscription allows me to synchronise off-line playlists on a maximum of 3 devices, but I think there is a problem here.

I am suscribed to Premium because of that feature, and use it currently on my smartphone, and on my old smartphone, which I now use as a media player at home with a bluetooth speaker.

I also use the desktop app on my PC, and sometimes the web player at work.

So in total I listen to spotify on 4 "devices" (if you count the web player), but I only synchronise off-line on 2 (the 2 smartphones)! So I don't understand why I can't synchronise on the second one!

Is there a bug in the way Spotify counts my devices?

Or has my account been hacked?

Or do I understand the 3 devices limit incorrectly? It seems the problem occurs mostly after I listened to the web player the same day so there must be an issue there.

Or maybe I'm synchronising more than 3333 tracks in total? How can I get an overview of that?

Thank you for any kind of help.

PS: I did try the troubleshooting process but it doesn't work.

Sillik - You have 3 devices synced for Offline use (all Android). Should you try and make a song offline on another device, it will remove one of these 3.

So you can keep track, we can reset these devices for you if you'd like. You will need to download all your tracks again, but it should help.

Who's your Spotify Star?

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

That's strange as I have only two android devices. But they are rooted and I did perform multiple re-installation on at least one of them in the past. So I guess some "ghost" devices are still poluting my account.

The only strange thing is that I obvioulsy only synchronise on the last two devices. So how come I suddenly get that problem from time to time? Nothing can be synchronised on those fake old devices.

Is there a way to get the list of devices?

Anyway I guess a reset of the devices is indeed necessary and I hope it will fix the problem.

Can you do it, please?

Thank you.

I set up my account on a new phone last night and it wiped my primary phone off. I unterstand the 3 device limit but only have it on 3 devices. Maybe there is one on the account that I don't have anymore? Is there a way to see what devices are synced?

I have the same problem with my Android phone

You can ask to have your devices reset in this thread.
