Same problem. And has been a problem for a while. This sucks spotify. Fix!

I also have the identical screen and identical problem on a Samsung S6 cell phone.  That I have a good Yamaha RX-A860 receiver that has Spotify as an input, but I cannot use it because my Android app (freshly downloaded and phone rebooted) does not have the connect icon or functionality is very disappointing.  Boo Spotify.  Android phone owners are in the ascendency, yet Spotify doesn't provide working functionality is pittiful.

I had the same problem and also criticized Spotify.  This was premature, as I have corrected the problem and have acquired the Devices Available icon.  I had confirmed that my Yamaha RX-A860 Receiver and my cell phone were on the same network, while I had no such icon.  I then downloaded the desktop version of Spotify onto my PC.  It was on a different wireless network (I have more than one in my home).  I connected my receiver to the network the desktop app was using and voila, I had the Devices Available icon and could see the receiver from the desktop app.  I then connected my Samsung S6 Android phone to the same wireless network. Success, the Devices Available icon appeared in the center bottom, directly below the large pause button.  My receiver and the desktop were both presented as available devices.  I chose the receiver and my music selection from my cell phone was played through the receiver.  If Spotify had a problem, they have fixed it.  What is important to note is that the icon does not appear unless you are on the same wireless network.  Why the icon was initially missing is a mystery.  Perhaps, my phone had auto-reconnected to one of my other wireless networks.
