Disable Video in Search Tab

Disable Video in Search Tab

How do I disable this unnecessary garbage?

Waste of data, waste of space, waste of CPU!

Seconded. Don't make me switch to YouTube music... PLEASE! 🤣

Please add this as a safety option for photosensitive users as I was hit with a strobing/rapidly flashing light from a video on the search bar, which I am supposed to avoid and there seems to be no way of getting rid of it except to avoid search entirely. All the other apps I use have a reduced motion/disable autoplay option which I have to turn on to use them safely.

Hey @rrrdango,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.

We appreciate your feedback regarding this function. However, the help boards are not the place to make this type of suggestion, as it will not reach the proper teams.

Taking this into account, a similar idea has already been suggested here, and it's currently set as "Good Suggestion"; feel free to show your support for it by adding your vote with the "Thumbs Up" button and subscribing to it! Any changes or updates will be posted in that thread.

If you think your idea should be considered separate, feel free to submit it again, highlighting how your idea is distinct from the existing one.

Cheers!

No. Does that sound like the issue described to you?   Three separate  rapidly flashing  videos appear every time you click search on the phone app. This does not happen on my tv.   This is extremely annoying and potentially disorienting and harmful. It is baffling why anyone thought this would be a well received " feature," and not having an option to remove it is **bleep**ING LUNACY. I cant believe this happened and has not been addresses and solved.
