Disconnecting headphones music continues to play on phone speakers

My Question or Issue

When I disconnect my Bluetooth headphones, Spotify now continues playing the music on the phone speakers which is really annoying. Disconnecting my headphones is much quicker than unlocking the phone and going into the app to pause the music. I noticed this happening just this morning. Will this be patched?
