My Question or Issue

Hello! I was about to erase the data from my Spotify when i Saw the warning:

THIS WILL DELETE ALL YOUR DATA FROM THE APPLICATION.

 

Then i Said,

Wait, and my liked musics???

Wait, and my playlists???

WAIT, AND THE DATA OF MY PERSONAL PREFERENCES THAT MAKES MY ACCOUNT UNIQUE???

Oh no... Will i have to lose AND restart...

EVERYTHING???

 

OH

MY

GOD!!!

 

Then i got scared looked in the internet found nothing and had to rely on this forum to answer my questions

 

Am i scared for nothing?

 

 

PLEASE SAY YES!!! 😭

Thanks for posting about this here in the Community. No worries, we'll be happy to help!

 

Just to confirm, were you trying to follow the steps below when you saw this warning message?

  1. Tap Home. 
  2. Tap Settings. 
  3. Scroll to Storage, and select Delete cache.
  4. Tap Delete cache.

If so, doing this just removes any cached information of the app on your device.

 

This can be for example login details you've used on this device (so you'll need to log into your account again), offline content or preferred settings for the app (for example, if you've selected previously to not Allow Explicit Content, you'll need to switch again this on after deleting the app's cache) on this device.

 

However, this shouldn't remove any saved songs or your playlists from your Spotify account.
