EQ from iOS to Android

So after finally ditching Apple and moving back to Android I was rather dissapointed to discover that Spotify has chosen to use the built in Android equalizer rather than the fantastic 6-band EQ that was present on iOS. The biggest problem here is the Android EQ sucks. There is a brief pause before it kicks in which leads to me blowing my ears out briefly if I have the volume set for the rest of the song. Now I've seen other posts complaining about that issue, but they all fucus on the Android EQ. Fact of the matter is, there needs to be an option to use the 6-band Spotify EQ so that I can stand to turn the EQ on at all.
