Earphone buttons not working anymore

Hi, guys.

I have a LG G3 - Android 6.0 Marshmallow - and I use a regular samsung earphone (S4 reagular smartphone). I have been using this earphone and Spotify for about 3/4 months and before that, I used the Rocket Player with no problem.

But since the new update - 8.4.9.271 armV7 - the earphone is crazy. Sometimes Spotify doesn't recognise the earphone buttons, sometimes only the forward main button works, and other times it works for about 2/3 songs and then it doesn't work anymore.

Using others smartphones I have the same problem. But, if I use Rocket Player, the buttons work properly. 

I cleaned up the cache, reinstalled the app and everything seemed to make no difference at all.

How can it be fixed?
