Where did Android Equalizer settings go? They used to be in Settings > Audio Quality > Equalizer, but have disappeared.
I use them intermittently for listening via wired headphones on my phone. I turn on the "Loudness" preset for low volume listening, and turn off the Equalizer for normal volume listening. I most recently had it on, and based on some comparisons to Apple Music playing the exact same content, it appears that the setting is still on -- Spotify sounds bassier than Apple when playing the same content. (Maybe there are other settings influencing this that I'm not considering?)
Let me know if the setting has moved, thanks.
Hi there @jumunius,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!
Keep in mind that the equalizer setting in the app for Android opens the own device equalizer - it isn't an equalizer that the Spotify app itself has. That said, you should be able to go to your device's settings menu and modify the equalizer from there as you'd like.
Hope this helps. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.
Cheers.
Thanks Carlos. I see what you mean -- Apple EQ UI actually uses the same layout as Spotify's did. But I can't find anywhere in Android where I can get to the EQ for controlling output generally. I even tried an app that supposedly gave the EQ controls but it didn't work (and it didn't match the Spotify/Android controls... fewer bands, etc).
I hope Spotify considers bringing it back, even though it wasn't ideal.
(I looked in the Sound settings for my Pixel... nothing there)

Hey @tgray44,
Thanks for the post.
Could you try running a clean reinstall of the app, as described in this Guide and let us know if the EQ setting becomes visible after that.
Cheers.
