Ever going to fix Android Equalizer issue?

Ever going to fix Android Equalizer issue?

I saw there was a post from 2013 and this is still not fixed. Whenever you start a song on Android for Spotify there is a brief volume spike at beginning of every song. This seems to occur on android no matter what device you use (tested on 5 different Android devices). This issue does not appear on iOS devices.

I'm shocked Spotify hasn't fixed this very annoying issue, considering how big of a deal it is.

2022 the issue is still there.

Hey @80147dot2,

Thanks for reaching out.

To help you further, can you please provide a bit more detail about this issue like for example:

  • Your device's model and Spotify version.
  • Does it occur only when the equalizer is turned on?
  • Are you using your phone's built in equalizer or a third-party app?
  • Does changing any of your audio quality settings or turning off audio normalization make a difference?

Looking forward to your reply.

Cheers!

Not using the Spotify built-in equalizerc(it's off) or any other such
third-party software. My phone OS does not have a built-in equilizer.

My device is a OnePlus 7T PRO McLaren. The Spotify version is a 8.7.64.478
