Friend connected to my Wifi, can play to my receiver any time now

Hi,

One of my friends connected to my wifi last weekend, and was able to see my new Onkyo receiver as a device on spotify on his Phone.

Even after going home, its still there, and he can start songs from anywhere, and it takes over if I for example am doing something else on it.

Is there some way we can remove it from his devices (not listed in offline devices) or I can change any settings on my end?

Hi. Once a connect hardware device has been controlled by a spotify account over wifi, the details are stored on the device and it can be controlled over any internet connection.

Your friend can prevent your receiver from showing in is devices by enabling the option "show local devices only" in his spotify settings. Alternatively, performing a factory reset of the receiver should clear the stored credentials.

I just noticed now that the receiver is gone from my own devices list, so I assume I just have to connect to it again, and it will appear in my list again, and dissapear from his 🙂

Crossing my fingers!
