Google Maps STILL/AGAIN too quiet

Google Maps STILL/AGAIN too quiet

I am still most definitely having the whole Google Maps is about half the volume as the music when it tries to navigate issue despite the giant thread (which was locked by mods) claiming to have it fixed. I have 1.1.2.453 which is the most recent update.

I initially loved that the music kept playing during the navigation TTS but now I realize I need to have my music at deafening levels if I want to hear the instructions. I'm currently in the car driving across the country (passenger at the moment) so it's really obvious/annoying.

I think it was not such a low volume before though so I'm thinking the fix did work but somehow got broken again after updates? Anyone else have this?

I don't think I should even try with the old "temporary fix" from the big thread because that was from before the whole app security issue that made everyone have to download the new Spotify right?

What version of spotify are you using? Most recent posts are again complaining that music pauses on receipt of notifications.

This problem (Spotify not ducking) has resurfaced for me with the recent update to Spotify (1.1.2.453).

Oddly, though, it will duck for email, SMS, and calls, (though my usual notification sound isn't played), but it won't for SatNav commands using Waze, CoPilot, orGoogle Maps.

I'm running Cyanogenmod 11 M8 on a SGS4.
