My Question or Issue

I have two artists hidden, but both of them still show up in my Discover playlists. I have done a hard reset to no avail. My phone is running version 8.6.20.1063

Hi there @kittenhiccups,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Artists on which you've clicked Don't play this should not be playable on any device. You might still see songs from them recommended in playlists like Discover weekly etc. in the first week or two after you've hidden them.

Note that you may see song which feature these artists and might still be playable.

We'd recommend you Log out Everywhere and run a clean reinstall of the app on your devices, to clear any old cache which might be causing sync issues.

Hope this helps.

The hidden artists are gone from my Discover but I am having this problem
where, at the bottom of my playlists there are recommended songs, and songs
by my hidden artists keep showing up! Please make it stop you cannot
possibly understand how much I hate Wilco.

Hey @kittenhiccups,

Thanks for keeping in touch.

The Recommended songs section is based on similar artists to the ones in the playlist. Keep in mind that when you Hide an artist, their songs won't appear on your Discover playlists or will be played, but this doesn't include the Recommended songs section in the bottom of the playlists, as they're not really part of said playlists and they're not actually added to your playlists.

We appreciate your feedback on the matter and we'll make sure to pass it on to the right folks.

If you need a hand with anything else, we're always a post away.

Cheers!

Ok but you see, right, how annoying it is to be recommended music that
you've specifically blocked? On a service you pay for? Not great Bob.
