I have hidden songs in the same playlist and they continue to play. Maybe different sessions, maybe the same session, either way, they keep playing. I wouldn't understand the point of hiding a song in either situation because then I could just FF or skip the song when it comeplaying. Other words, hiding does nothing.
Also, it's not like I'm coming across the song in a different playlist or in their albums. It is within the same playlist.
A) Is the hide song feature broken?
B) If not, what is its purpose?

Hey @Iv10,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
When you hide a song, do you use the account on the same device you hid the song on?
Does the described experience occur with different accounts as well?
Keep us posted.
Cheers!
Hey @Iv10,
Thank you for keeping in contact and for the shared info.
Since this could be also related to some damaged cache stored on your device, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article.
If the issue persists, would you mind checking if it happens by playing the playlist directly from your phone, and not on the Bluetooth Headphones?
Lastly, taking into account that you don't have another account to test this out, we'd recommend creating a new one with a different email address just for testing purposes. It would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists.
We'll be on the lookout.
I just did this and while I was aware my downloaded songs would be deleted, I didn't realize my liked songs and my hidden songs would reset. So heads up to anyone doing a clean install.
This is just... what I needed 24h before going on an 11 hour flight. ✌️
Edit: my liked songs are fine. Spotify just decided not to show likes via heart anymore on a playlist (????????).
Hidden songs are reset though......on a 10-hour ADHD playlist.
Lol.
Hey @Iv10,
Thanks for your reply.
We really appreciate you keeping us in the loop. We understand where you're coming from and your comments on the matter. We understand this was not ideal, but clean reinstalling the app can help to fix some damaged processes that could interfere with the proper connection with the app. Just to confirm, are the hidden songs still playing?
Keep in mind that the ♡ Heart button will start being replaced with a (+) Plus button for saving things to Your Library. Things that have been saved to Your Library. The ability to see which songs you've previously liked will return to track listings soon. (Playlist and Album pages). We don't know yet if this icon will still be a green heart. The team is currently working on making this experience better.
You can read more about the (+) Plus button here. Another user posted an idea about it here. We’d suggest adding your vote and subscribing to the idea to get notified as soon as we have any updates to share.
Keep us in the loop!
Hey @Iv10,
Thanks for your reply.
Could you let us know if the hidden songs still play when you're listening directly on your phone and not through Bluetooth devices?
We'll be on the lookout.
