How NOT to change playback device from Sonos to Android when leaving home?

Solved!

How NOT to change playback device from Sonos to Android when leaving home?

Hi, I am using the spotify app on an Android to play music on Sonos speakers. That works well until I get into the car (or change the Android user). In these cases the music continues to play on my phone. I do see the usecase for that, but in my case I dont want this to happen. (e.g. when the music was started for someone else) How can the change of the playback device be prevented?

Hey @frankne,

Thanks for reaching out!

Just to double-check if I understood correctly - your phone is connected to your Sonos device at home, then you leave your home, which switches the playback from Sonos to your phone? In this case I'd say it's expected, since the devices aren't on the same network connection anymore. If someone else wants to use Sonos while you're not at home, I'd recommend connecting their own account with it in order for the playback to not be interrupted.

Hope this clears things up and let us know if you have any questions ✌️
