How do I completely remove a podcast from my home and recently played?

A couple days ago I clicked on those weird explicit podcasts and I can't seem to get it off my home screen.

Welcome to the Community!

Currently there is no way to remove content from your Home screen and Recently played. This updates automatically based on your listening activity. So keep listening to your favorite content and it should update on your Home screen.

Other users have also expressed the need to have an option to remove items from the landing page. You can support the idea by adding your +Vote here. The more votes an idea gets, the more likely it is to get implemented.

This has never worked and I've used Spotify for ages. I have the same podcast tiles for MONTHS after trying out a podcast for less than five minutes. The tiles are still there. I haven't listened to a single podcast since then, and yet Spotify still recommends them. There needs to be a way to remove podcasts. I'm about to leave Spotify because of its terrible UI and algorithms and pushing things I'm clearly not interested in.
