How do I exit the latest version?

The latest version of the Android app doesn't seem to have a Close/Exit function. When I finish listening, I don't want it running in the background.

You don't need to close apps on Android, process management is fully automatic.

Which is a nice answer if Spotify didn't sit in the background consuming data.

Not to mention that if I listen to spotify in the morning, my phone battery will die about 2-3 hours faster than before the new app version.  I used to always shut down Spotify after done with listening.  Now Spotify just runs in the background and chews up resources and power.  Bring back the Exit option!!
