How to disconnect computer's Spotify from phone?

My Question or Issue

I just noticed that my phone's notification bar, and lock screen, suddenly started showing what I was listening to on my laptop, and that I could control my computer's music from my phone. I don't want to be able to do this, nor to see activity from my computer on my phone. How do I get rid of this?

Unfortunately, there isn’t currently an option on Spotify to disable Connect. However, there is currently a Live Idea for this potential feature in the Idea Exchange of the Spotify Community.

Even though its Status Update is “Not Right Now,” I recommend adding your +VOTE to this idea. The more votes an idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it, and you can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.
