My Question or Issue

Dear all!

I am new to this forum and I have a question.

Whenever I reboot my smartphone Spotify starts with the last song/playlist/... active (see attached screenshot).

Is there a possibility to prevent Spotify from starting automatically?

Thank you very much for your help!

Best regards,

Florian

Hey there, welcome to the Spotify Community! I also have a Samsung device so I can tell you how to handle this. I think it just shows you the status of the last track in the notifications and it does not actually start playing the track, right?

  1. In that case, hold the App icon for Spotify or go to the App details page.
  2. Turn on battery optimization for Spotify.
  3. Open Spotify and turn off Spotify Connect in the background.

This should fix it, and even if it does not you can rest assured that it is just showing you the last notification and not actually opening the App in the background. You should clear the cache for Spotify as well. I hope that helps, let me know if you need anything else.
