Hey @user-removed, welcome to the Spotify Community!
On Android, you can use the Google Play Store to check for app-updates. If there is one available for your device, it will be shown there. The version number can differ from device to device. Please be assured that if an update is available you can check it out on the Google Play Store.
Also, you have mentioned two versions: 8.9.46.426 and 8.9.24.633. It looks like you are trying to downgrade since the version in the title is a newer version. Downgrade is not possible from the official store.
If you need help with anything else, let me know.
Thanks for this. The only reason I was trying to update was because Spotify help says if my daily playlists aren't synching between devices, it's probably out of date.
Thanks for the reply @user-removed. Keeping the app updated ensures that you get the latest bug fixes and features.
The sync issue that you have mentioned, is that regarding your personal playlists or the made for you daily mixes?
Have you tried it with a different account and platform? See if that makes any difference?
The sync issue is with the made for you playlists. My post was moved as someone else is having the same issue on iPhone. It's an on and off problem. My playlists are currently synced on my devices (tablet and laptop) but I have to keep logging in and out. Sometimes nothing changes. Spotify will log me out on Xbox and I'll have to sign in again.
A different account or platform? I'm confused, apologies.
Hey @user-removed,
Thank you for keeping in contact.
Jumping in just to mention that since sometimes an issue could be account-related, it's worth checking on a different device (using your own account) or having someone log in with their account on your devices - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists.
Also, if you keep seeing different content across devices on your Daily mixes, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on all of them by following the steps mentioned in this article. This process will replace possible damaged files that might be affecting the proper behavior of the app
Lastly and if the issue persists, include in your next response the make, model and OS version of the affected device.
We'll be on the lookout.
I had uninstalled on my phone so right now it's connecting to my Xbox just fine and the playlists are in sync but it may start to not work again soon in a week like before. Maybe it's something to do with the internet connection? Even when I'm connected to data or WiFi Spotify will tell me I'm offline or no internet connection available. I'll keep you posted.
