Keep HDMI output when screen goes off: hoe?

Hi,

I have Spotify Premium on a Nexus 10, Android 5.1.1.

This tablet is connected by HDMI to an audio receiver, tv switched off.

Everything works fine until the screen of the tablet goes black, off. At that moment the sound through the receiver stops. When I wake up the screen, the sound continues.

It looks like the hdmi connection is interrupted.

Any ideas how to solve this?

I found a way to keep the screen on:

Use the Android app: Keep Screen On

Start the app and tick the box to keep the screen on.

Spotify remains visable, the screen does not go to black. 

And most important: the audio through the hdmi remains!

Disadvantage: extra battery use.
