LG G8 reboots on Spotify Start

I can't identify point of change, but suddenly Spotify, and only Spotify, causes my LG G8 running Pie to hard crash and reboot. 100% of the attempts to use Spotify, usually within 10 seconds of app login.

Phone OS and LG components up to date. Done clean install and deleted creds from Google smartlock. Reproducible still. No other app does this.

Spotify using my creds doesn't cause any similar effect on any other device/scenario (e.g Samsung Galaxy tab S4).

Anyone got ideas (other than get a different phone 😀 )

Hey there @snmitch1965,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and for letting us know what you've done to solve this. 

Let's try these steps out to make sure your phone settings are not preventing Spotify from running:

1. Mobile Settings> Apps> Spotify> Permissions. Allow everything you see there.
2. Mobile settings> Apps> Spotify> Battery> Optimize battery usage> select top All (not optimized for apps)> Spotify> disable.
3. Restart the phone.
